An attic apartment with dark grey floors and a neutral decor

This beautiful attic apartment with alcove windows and exposed wood beams (styled by Living Deco, photographed by Maria Sahlander for Stadshem) has a dark grey floor treatment. This dark flooring is brightened up by a light interior color palette in both the spacious living room and the bedroom.

The small kitchen is a part of the living space. The dining table is a great separator between the kitchen and the rest of the living room. You can find a small desk to work from home on the wall next to the bedroom.

The bedroom is rather small, however, it fits a small double bed comfortably. The color palette in this room shares the one in the rest of the apartment.

Grey flooring and a light color palette in the living room

The dark grey vinyl flooring in the apartment is matched by the dark paint color on the exposed wood beams and contrasts with the white walls and ceilings in the space. A large white area rug brightens up a large portion of the flooring. The white fabric sofa and white armchair make the look even lighter.

A combination of beige and red tones adds a warm element to the interior. The round wood coffee table next to the sofa breaks up all the white in this area.

The bench next to the alcove window fits this low-ceiling area perfectly. The prints and decor pieces finish off this section perfectly.

The space next to the bedroom is used for a small home office spot. The low-ceiling areas of an attic apartment are always a little trickier to decorate, however, they are great for areas where you sit down anyway, like a desk.

The home office section follows the color palette of the rest of the interior.

The kitchen is part of the large living room as well. The corner layout of the kitchen allows for an open plan, where the dining table can take center stage.

The kitchen itself is a bit dated, however, it’s brought to life by the beautiful combination of accessories.

A small attic bedroom

The tiny attic bedroom fits a small double bed comfortably. The natural color palette mirrors the one in the adjacent living room. The mirror on the wall opposed to the window reflects the daylight coming in and makes the space appear bigger.

A small hallway section in the living room

Since the apartment door comes out straight into the living room of the apartment, a small hallway section is created next to the hallway door.
