Another great project by Swedish kitchen manufacturer Nordiska Kök, this time in the villa of interior stylist Daniella Witte, who is known for her characterful interior designs inspired by natural materials. The off-white kitchen has a minimalistic design, but the powdery, warm tones give the space a warm and welcoming feeling. The concrete flooring adds a rustic industrial touch to the room, which pairs up very nicely with the cream-white fronts. The kitchen island has been engraved with lines, matching the façade of the villa.
The dining room is located in the room next to the kitchen, but the kitchen island also serves as a spot where you can have breakfast or a meal with two people. To match the floors, the worktop has been made out of concrete as well and the sand color on the walls adds an overall natural feeling to the space.
I love the way this minimal kitchen has been fitted underneath the sloped roof of this aparment. The tallest area underneath the roof has been used for the larger items like the fridge and the exhaust, while as the rest of the kitchen has been built against the sloped roof. This way a minimal amount of space has been lost and you don’t hit your head against the roof either. In the middle of the room, the owners of this apartment placed a dining table with an Ay Illuminate lamp above it which really adds a lot to this space I think. The window sill has been extended to also become a breakfast bar or small desk and I think the Frama bar stools work so nicely with the green marble.
It sometimes can be a little bit tricky to make a white space like this one, with white walls, floors and ceilings look cozy and inviting, but I think this Swedish apartment makes it work really nicely. The color palette of the main furniture items has been kept very light, but some contrasting pieces are added as well to give the look more character.
The white sofa combined with the white fluffy area rug, white chairs, and coffee tables set the stage for a bit of color in the linen pillowcases on the sofa, the art print on the wall, and the small accessories on the table. The darker color of the bench against the wall adds a lot of contrast and the light beige curtains* soften out the light that’s coming from the windows.
The light green duvet cover* on the bed adds a subtle fresh touch and I love the open storage space against the wall with the wooden compartment for magazines and books. The kitchen is a little older, but the lick of paint makes it fit in the space and the small dining table looks very cozy. The perfect size for this studio apartment.
Danish design brand Vipp has recenlty transformed a 100-year old pencil factory into a social dining room called the Supper Club. Interior designer Julie Cloos Mølsgaard made sure to keep the exsisting features of the original factory building, while also creating a homey feeling that is cozy and inviting. The new V2 kitchen is the center of the attention in this 400m2 factory space, next to a long dining table that can comfortably seat 26 people.
A supper club refers to an underground restaurant which typically incorporates musical acts to complement the atmosphere. I think this interior is the perfect setting for a gathering around some good food and music don’t you think? I love the way the concert piano takes the stage in this interior and next to the kitchen and the dining table this would be a third powerful element of interest in the space. The cozy dining area in a mixture of materials is enhanced with different pieces of art and I love the way the open shelving functions as a divider between areas.
I think the sage green wall color in this Swedish apartment (Styled by Grey Deco, photographed by Anders Bergstedt for Alvhem) really brings the interior and decor to another level. The sage green goes so well with the hardwood flooring and I love the combination with the light colors of the main furniture in the sage green living room. The white linen sofa in combination with the soft off-white area rug (which is a great choice of rug for green walls) and the light beige linen curtains set the stage for the smaller furniture in oak wood and black accent elements in the lighting and art prints.
The large fig plant in front of the window and the smaller plants spread throughout the living space go so well with the muted green walls and the variety of green shades makes the look more interesting. The dining table on the other side of the living room has been placed on its own natural area rug, which separates the dining and living area from each other visually. The light grey linen tablecloth matches perfectly with the light palette of the other textiles in the room and I like the single art print adding personality to this area. Opposite the dining area, an arched mirror has been placed which reflects the room in such a nice way and I love the wooden bench standing in the area leading up to the hallway.
The muted green tone on the walls looks very refreshing and rather than a mint color like in this Scandinavian bedroom, for example, or a lighter sage green tone like in this living room, a much more sophisticated tone was picked which goes so well with the beige and natural tones of the accessories.
How to decorate with green walls
Match sage green walls with furniture in a natural palette for a minimal, yet fresh look, and brighten it up even more with some green plants. The fresh green leaves of the plants in this interior pop out of the sage green walls in a lovely way and complement each other perfectly.

This cozy shaker kitchen in white with grey stone countertops has a very cozy look and feel and it’s all because of the details and accessories. The wooden shelf above the shiplap backsplash holds deco items, but also plates, plants and cutting boards, which makes the look characterful and interesting. The black faucet is matched with the black wall lamps that light up the counter space and even though the kitchen has been placed in a rather awkward layout, I think it ended up working really nicely.
Once you walk through the rather narrow area where the kitchen is placed, you arrive at the light flooded dining area right in front of the window, which seems like such a lovely spot to have dinner. The choice to place a round dining table here was the right one for sure.
I love the way the soft grey walls pair up with the natural elements in this bedroom. This grey and light wood bedroom combination works in a subtle yet stylish way.
The wood of the side table, the headboard of the bed, and the rattan of the chair add so much warmth to this space. The window is draped with light grey curtains* that match the color of the wall and the desk in front of the window matches this small area perfectly.
The bed has been made with light grey linen bedsheets* and a combination of pillowcases that also add warmth to the look. The polka dot bedspread adds a playful touch to the room and I love the little wall shelf above the bed to which the lamps are attached. This shelf is the perfect spot for books and deco objects and adds a special touch to the wall.
An Ammonite bedroom
The color on the walls looks like Ammonite from Farrow and Ball* which has an understated look and combines well with neutral colors. This light grey is neither too warm or cool, which gives it a very calm quality. Pair it up white like in this beautiful bedroom for a fresh look.
This small Swedish studio apartment is decorated in a lovely mixture of beige, brown, black, and natural elements for a warm and cozy look that is elegant and inviting. When decorating a small studio like this one, it’s important to select furniture that fits the room. Empty space around the furniture is very important to make the room look more spacious. The small white fabric sofa combined with the small coffee table fits perfectly in this space, and the natural area rug separates the sofa area from the dining area in front of the window. On the opposite side of the sofa, a small wooden bench is placed against the wall, which also doesn’t take up a lot of floor surface, for a more spacious look.
The bedroom is hidden behind beige linen curtains* and since the daylight is coming from one window only, a large round mirror was hung here to reflect the light and to make the bedroom area look bigger. The warm tints in the textiles on the bed make this area look inviting and the fluffy area rug underneath makes it even cozier. There is even a spot for a small armchair and side table, which gives the impression that the bedroom is its own room rather than a part of the living room.

I think this Swedish apartment with modern pieces combined with farmhouse elements has such a cozy look and feel. The walls of each of the rooms have been covered with limewash paint, which gives them a nice texture that makes the furniture and accessories stand out in a very nice way.
The living room is located in between the kitchen and the bedroom and combines a subtle beige sofa with black contrasting elements in the leather armchair and the painted vintage vitrine by the window. On the other side of the window, a large arched mirror is placed, which reflects the room and the light coming from the window.
From the living room, you can peek into the bedroom, which has a slightly different tone of lime paint on the wall, which combines wonderfully with the beige linen duvet cover* and the warm beige waffle bedspread*. The mirror beside the bed combined with the white side table and the golden candle holders on the wall add such a lovely touch next to the bed and I love the way the wardrobe has been covered with a beige linen curtain* rather than with doors, it fits the look and style of the apartment.
From the other side of the living room, you can walk into the kitchen, which has a super cozy dining table in front of the window. The linen tablecloth* adds a lovely texture to this corner and the vintage mirror and wall shelf add character and personality.
I love the deep blue color on the walls of this Swedish apartment. It makes all the furniture, accessories, and art prints stand out in a really nice way. The main furniture, like the sofa, dining table, area rug, and pendant lights are kept in light colors, which contrast so nicely against the darker walls. The coffee table and the wooden armchair add a warmer touch to the otherwise cooler palette and the art prints above the sofa add character and personality. I think the bookshelf also adds a cozy vibe and I love the hallway area, which is part of the living room in a way. The wooden bench matches the furniture in the living room and the oval mirror makes the narrow space look bigger.
The bedroom has been painted in a muted tint of green, which is also very characteristic. The beige linen duvet cover* with the green bedspread works so nicely with the wall color and the green plant stands out in a nice way.
