Simple and cozy home in warm grey

post

This cozy Swedish home is almost entirely painted in a warm grey, which adds a slightly moody, yet super cozy touch all throughout the space. The decor of this apartment is rather simple, yet it doesn’t feel like anything is missing.

The color of the kitchen cabinets matches the overall color palette of this apartment very nicely and I love the combination of the grey cabinet doors with the brass handles, limestone countertop and the white tiles on the wall.

The bedroom is my favorite room in this space and I think the brass mobile comes together so nicely with the vintage side tables and the mix of textiles on the bed.

Cozy home with a sage green bedroom

post
A minimal living room with off white walls, a white sofa, black accents and a vintage round dining table

This Swedish home looks so cozy and inviting and I love the little details, accessories, and combination of textures and textiles for a warm look. The living room is bright and white, with a white sofa combined with white linen curtains* and a beige area rug. This white sofa area is combined with contrasts in the furniture and paired up with a beautiful antique dining table which adds extra character to this space.

A sage bedroom

The bedroom has a beautiful sage green wall color, which goes so nicely with the green Monstera plant on the dresser and the warm linen textiles on the bed. The art prints combined with the mirror on the bedside look great as well and the vase on the floor adds an extra little something.

A retro kitchen design with dark oak cabinets

post
Dark oak kitchen cabinets combined with a green granite countertop

This is the latest project by Swedish kitchen manufacturer Nordiska Kök in Malmö, Sweden. The townhouse is located in an area called Bellevue, designed by architects Fritz Jaenecke and Sten Samuelsson. The kitchen design is a tribute to the history and character of the house and has a clear  Scandinavian aesthetics, built with natural materials like oak and granite all while meeting the functional needs of a modern kitchen.

The granite countertop is called ‘Lemon Ice’ and has a beautiful pattern, which goes so nicely with the oak cabinet doors in chocolate brown stain. The kitchen really stands out in a subtile way against the beige on the walls and curtains and because floating shelving is used on the top it has a light and airy look.

Stylish turn of the century home

post

I think this is such an amazing apartment with such lovely turn of the century elements, the original fireplaces being the ones that stand out the most. I love the way the living room and bedroom are connected, with the darker warm color of the bedroom walls peeking through and matching the lighter, yet also warm palette in the dining and living area.

The kitchen is small, yet the space has been used optimally and I like the combination of the concrete countertop with the grey cabinet doors and the white tiles on the wall. A smaller second bedroom has been used as a home office and I love the way rugs are used in every single room to finish off the look and to make it cosier.

Majestic home full of art

post

I think this turn-of-the-century home is decorated in such a pretty, personal, and characterful way, which enhances the historic details in a modern way. The ceiling in the living room has been painted in a dark grey, combined with light grey walls, while the wall and ceiling colors in the bedroom seem to be the same, yet reversed.

The furniture in the living room has been kept very simple, it’s the artwork on the wall that give this space so much personality and character. The subtle colors in the art pieces contrast with the light color on the floor and the beige fluffy area rug.

The U-shaped kitchen with two-tone cabinets and the bedroom have a darker color palette and I love the vintage cabinet in the bedroom, which has been painted black and combines so nicely with all the linen on the cozy bed.

Warm grey studio home

post

This cozy and inviting Swedish studio apartment is decorated in tints of warm grey, beige and natural materials which gives it a very warm and cozy look and feel.

The sofa is the Ikea Söderhamn, with a Bemz custom linen cover in off-white* which is combined with a mixture of light colored linen pillowcases* for an extra cozy look.

The bed has been combined with a cute little bench that serves as a nightstand and the hanging rod is used for a few pieces of clothing that need to be close by.

The space is small, but still there is enough space to also fit a small round dining table. Since there is enough empty space between the different areas in this room, it doesn’t feel cramped either.

Adjacent kitchen and living room

post
A kitchen with white cabinets with integrated handles, black marble countertops, narrow kitchen island, round dining table, bentwood chairs

I think this is such a cozy living room and kitchen combined. These used to be two separate rooms I think (maybe even with those beautiful turn-of-the-century wing doors in between) but now they form one joint living space. The white kitchen with black marble countertops has been separated from the living area by a small peninsula island, which allows for extra work surface at the same time.

The white round dining table combined with the black bentwood chairs matches the black and white kitchen very nicely and the sofa corner has been made into its own little area by placing an area rug underneath it.

Loft home decorated with plants

post

This loft home on two levels with industrial-style windows is an amazing location for a personal home if you ask me. The furniture and decor and the black and white kitchen have been kept very simple, apart from the two vintage leather armchairs in the living room which stand out a lot.

The green plants that are added in every single corner of this home make all the difference though and this abundance of greenery really defines the look of this beautiful space. I bet the plants are getting so much-needed sunlight through these big windows as well.

Cozy home in beige tints

post

I think this beautiful Swedish home looks so cozy and inviting. The walls in this place are all painted in a very warm grey beige, which makes the turn-of-the-century elements like the wood stove and the moldings on the doors and windows stand out very nicely.

The living room and beige bedroom are connected with wing doors and both the sofa and the bed are decorated with many blankets and pillows to cozy things up. I love the use of beige and yellow in the living room and the bed has been decorated with a beautiful brown blanket combined with different striped pillows.

The kitchen pairs up a beautiful granite countertop with light grey cabinets and a beautiful white subway tile backsplash to finish the look off.

Kitchen inspiration from Kitchen and Beyond

post

Look at this gorgeous kitchen from Swedish Kitchen and Beyond.
I absolutely love the way the tall cabinets and the kitchen island go together, but also have a different tint so that the island stands out as a design element. The color palette is quite cool, which goes so nicely with the withe washed wooden floorboards.
