A wood panel room divider and a solid wood kitchen

post

A wood panel room divider is a great way to create different functional areas in small homes or studio apartments. When the wood panels are spaced out from each other, the daylight can flow from one room into the other, while also giving the interior a modern look and feel.

A solid wood kitchen with white granite countertops

The solid wood kitchen cabinets in this living space match perfectly with the wood panel room divider and add such a warm touch to the interior. The layout of the kitchen consists of upper and lower cabinets combined with a kitchen island in the middle of the space that offers a spot to sit and at the same time visually separates the kitchen from the sofa area.

The minimal wood cabinets with integrated handles are complemented by granite countertops and a chrome faucet that adds a bit of a modern touch to the kitchen design.

Wood tones and a warm color palette in the sofa area

The wood tones of the kitchen cabinets and the warm herringbone flooring add a lot of warmth to the living kitchen, which has been accentuated by the choice of furniture and soft furnishings in the sofa area. The white sofa and chequered area rug combined with the light beige walls give the interior a light impression, which has been contrasted by the black Bertoia diamond lounge chair.

The wood tones of the kitchen come back in the bookshelf and the coffee table and the heaters are covered with a custom rattan element that matches the warm palette of the interior. To finish things off, the brown wall rug adds a lot of character to the space.

While you can also achieve a similar result with a glass partition wall to separate functional areas, the bedroom in this beautiful apartment uses a custom-built solution made out of wood panels to visually distinguish the different spaces from each other. The wood panels are combined with a curtain behind it to provide extra privacy, but when you leave the curtains open, daylight can flow from one space into the other.

The bedroom itself has a subtle greige wall color combined with crisp bedding and eye-catching blue pendant lights on each side of the bed, which really stand out against the wall color and the subtle wood tones of the bedroom.

Custom storage wardrobes in the hallway

The same cabinet fronts as the ones used in the kitchen are also brought back into the hallway, where ceiling-high cupboards provide a lot of storage opportunities. The combination of the warm wood of the cabinets with the simple opal shade lamp and the statement mirror gives this small space a minimal and sophisticated look.

Mixing modern and antique furniture for a one-of-a-kind effect

post

By mixing modern and antique furniture pieces, you can achieve a home decor that’s one-of-a-kind, without your interior looking dated or something like your grandma’s house.

This combination can result in an interesting interior look that is clean and minimal on the one hand, while also full of character and personality because of the history and stories around the old treasures. This beautiful Swedish apartment makes the combination of vintage and modern pieces work astonishingly well with subtle beige walls with green undertones as a backdrop.

A living room with beige walls and different wood tones

When mixing modern and antique furniture it’s important to balance out ornate details and rich material colors in the vintage pieces with modern elements that have clean lines and are lighter in color.

The living room in this apartment combines beige walls with a green undertone with white curtains, a white fabric sofa (it’s the Ikea Soderhamn model with a Bemz custom cover*), and a large white area rug that covers a large portion of the warm hardwood flooring.

The beige and black accents on the gallery wall and the combination of throw pillows add a few contrasting elements, yet it’s the vintage and antique pieces that really stand out in this space.

The antique sideboard by the window is made of warm wood, combined with a green paint color on the inside, which pairs up nicely with the green undertones in the wall color and the green branches in the vase. The crystal chandelier adds a classic touch to the space, without being too overpowering.

A living room with beige walls with green undertones and a combination of antique and modern pieces

A vintage desk by the wall next to the other window completes the mixture of modern and antiques in this living room perfectly, while also providing a nice home office spot. The warm wood of the desk is paired up with a dark wood chair and dark brown tones in the artwork.

The warm and inviting dining area in the adjacent kitchen doesn’t have any vintage pieces, but by using the same wall color and a mixture of materials in the same color palette, this section of the apartment goes nicely with the rest of the space.

A mix of modern and antique furniture in a subtle bedroom

The bedroom has been painted in the same beige wall color with green undertones, with white trim on top to give the space a bright look. The mixture of white and beige textiles on the bed is paired up with a white textile pendant lamp and white tones in the artwork and area rug for a lighter palette.

The antique wardrobe and bedside table add a few warm tones to this section of the room, yet in a subtle way. The vintage wardrobe has been painted white, while leaving the top in the original warm wood material, for a more toned-down effect.

The classic details on the antique dresser by the bed contrast nicely with the soft mixture of textiles in beige and white tones.

By the bedroom window, a vintage vanity is paired up with a vintage wall cabinet and a modern white Vitra Panton chair. The antique pieces have orange undertones, which match together nicely and this table is perfect for getting ready for a night out.

48 kitchen ideas with a white subway tile backsplash

post

Subway tile is a great backsplash material as it can be cleaned easily. At the same time, it can give your kitchen the decorative touch it needs in combination with your choice of cabinet color and countertop material.

Subway tiles are available in different sizes and shades, with a matt or glossy finish and you can pick the color of the grout to either blend in or stand out. Since there are so many options for this backsplash material, I have compiled an extensive list of kitchen ideas for you below.

Light grey kitchen cabinets combined with white subway tile and stainless steel appliances

I love the way the stove is built inside a niche space in the wall so that the piping of the hood is enclosed below the ceiling. By matching the white countertops with white subway tiling on the backsplash, the different levels in the walls become less apparent and the overall look becomes more finished and sophisticated.

Blue kitchen cabinets and a white subway tile backsplash that goes all the way up to the ceiling

This beautiful kitchen with navy blue kitchen cabinets and a cool grey wall color has been finished off with a semi-gloss tile backsplash that goes all the way up to the crown molding on the ceiling.

The tiles set the dark blue color of the kitchen cabinets apart and I love the combination of the matt cabinet doors with the semi-gloss finish on the tiles.

White subway tiles in between the top and bottom cabinets

The light grey kitchen cabinets cover two entire walls from top to bottom in this kitchen for a rather heavy look that therefore provides the kitchen with a lot of storage space.

By using white countertops with a white backsplash made of glossy tiles, the design appears a lot lighter and the added texture adds a clean look and a point of interest.

A subway tile backsplash combined with sage green kitchen cabinets

This beautiful sage green shaker kitchen has a classic look that almost screams for a tile on the walls. By applying the backsplash up until the upper cabinets and also on the side walls of the kitchen, you get a finished effect similar to that of a bathroom wall and you can be sure not to have to worry about spills.

Make the white subway tile backsplash stand out against the wall and kitchen cabinet color

The dark grey kitchen cabinets in this turn-of-the-century space are finished off with white tiling that goes all the way up to the ceiling, finished off with dark grey grout. The tiles are a bit taller than the other examples in the list, giving the pattern a cleaner look, which is especially good when you want to cover such a large wall with tile.

The white backsplash tiling is finished off white a grey trim on the ceiling and the side, which nicely frames the pattern.

This small kitchen looks impressive because of the tall subway tile wall covering the wall on top of the kitchen cabinets. By applying open shelving on the tiled wall, this compact kitchen is finished off nicely and at the same time, these shelves offer additional storage space.

Subway tile as a backsplash and on the walls of this irregular layout

The slightly awkward layout of this kitchen results in the stove and hood being placed on a tiny wall surface next to the door. Since the white subway tile backsplash is applied on all the wall surfaces, the two kitchen areas are visually connected and the look becomes more streamlined.

The light grey kitchen cabinets are placed along a rather long wall in the kitchen, with wood shelving instead of upper cabinets on the top section of the layout. The white subway tile backsplash with a semi-gloss finish marks this section and separates it visually from the dining area and by continuing the tiles up to the ceiling and onto the side the effect is even more powerful.

The white cabinets, grey cement countertops, and stainless steel appliances give this kitchen an elegant industrial touch which is enhanced even more by the subway tile backsplash that goes almost up to the ceiling.

This look finished off with black pendant lights and black open shelving and a delicate warm grey wall color adds an elegant touch. Note that the tiles are not continued up to the crown molding, yet a small grey trim was applied to accentuate the tile wall.

An off-white shaker kitchen combined with a crisp white tile backsplash

The off-white cabinets and off-white walls add a lot of warmth to this kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a stainless steel countertop. By adding crisp white subway tile on the wall, the beautiful color of the cabinets is offset and gets even more attention.

The cabinets are finished off with brass hardware, and the subway tile wall is finished off with a brass rail to add the final touch.

A natural stone countertop finished off with white tile

The natural stone countertop is what stands out the most in this kitchen with light grey shaker cabinets. By adding a small trim of natural stone below the metro tile backsplash, the stone gets even more attention and I like the way both materials combine with the subtle color of the cabinets.

The white backsplash with dark grey grout enhances this simple grey kitchen and the U-shape is highlighted by the beautiful marble countertops. The gold faucet and the black wall lamps finish the look off perfectly and the light grey wall color above the tiles works perfectly with the color of the cabinets.

Cement countertops and subway tile finished off with wood and brass elements

I love the elegant, yet industrial vibe going on in this kitchen brought on by the combination of the cement countertops, white shaker cabinets, gold faucet, and the white subway tile backsplash. These elements work wonderfully together and are finished off with wood shelving and a brass and glass chandelier.

Light grey walls and light grey kitchen cabinets in an elegant apartment

post

This beautiful turn-of-the-century Swedish apartment (for sale via Skandia Maklarna) is flooded with daylight coming through those tall windows. The light wood floor and the ornate moldings on the ceiling, door frames, and windows stay true to the history of the building, while the light grey wall color adds an elegant touch to the space.

To match the color of the walls, the shaker cabinets in the kitchen have been picked out in the same light grey color for a modest look that is minimal yet elegant at the same time.

A living room with light grey walls, light grey sofa, pink fluffy area rug, wood armchair, wood dining table, CH24 wishbone chairs

Light wood tones in the dining area in front of the windows

The spacious living space contains both a dining and a lounge area. The spot between the two large windows has been reserved for a large dining table combined with light oak CH24 wishbone chairs that match perfectly with the color of the hardwood floor.

The arched mirror on the wall in between the two windows works wonderfully in this spot and the black table legs, black metal chandelier, and black accessories stand out in this white and natural color palette.

Right next to the dining area, you can find a lounge space with tints of beige on the sofa and in the soft furnishings. What sets the design of this living area apart is the pink fluffy area rug that also comes back in the nude pink throw pillows on the sofa.

The warm wood tones in the armchair and the combination of brown and beige tones in the artwork on the wall finish this section off nicely and give it a bit more depth.

Light grey cabinets in a kitchen with an angled floorplan

The kitchen has light grey cabinets that match the wall color for an elegant and minimal tone-on-tone effect. The floor plan of the kitchen is quite a challenging one, yet by placing lower cabinets on either side of the space and following the angled wall towards the window, the designer came up with a balanced layout that looks light since there are no upper cabinets on the wall.

The light grey kitchen cabinets have a subtle shaker design, which gives them a classy touch, while still maintaining a minimal look. The stainless steel hardware and faucet and the black details add contrast to the subtle grey kitchen cabinets and the white marble countertops finish this elegant look off nicely.

A breakfast bar has been built in next to the sink and a small dining table has been added right next to the kitchen window. The round black table adds some more contrast to the light grey kitchen cabinets, while the light wood Thonet bentwood chairs complement the classy touch of the shaker cabinets.

Light grey walls and a bedroom wardrobe in the same color

The neutral color scheme has been continued in the bedroom, where the same light grey paint color is used both on the walls and on the custom-built wardrobe, which uses the same shaker cabinets as the ones in the kitchen.

The wall-to-wall white curtains combined with white bedding add a lot of texture to the space, while the black rattan bedside tables stand out against the grey and white walls. The black details in the artwork add some character and the subtle gold hardware on the shaker cabinets of the wardrobe finish this elegant bedroom look off nicely. The double interior doors frame the bedroom style in a perfect way.

The minimal yet elegant look has been continued in the bathroom, where beige tiles cover both the walls and floor for a smooth look. The clean lines of the freestanding tub and the chrome fittings give the space a modern look and the natural oak cabinetry adds more warmth to the interior design of the space. The horizontal shower niche extends over towards the bathroom for extra depth added to the bathroom design.

An open-concept kitchen living room with oak cabinets

post

This beautiful Swedish apartment has a very functional open-concept floor plan which combines a kitchen, hallway, dining room, and living room all into one space. The oak kitchen cabinets stand out against the white walls in the interior, which makes the cabinetry the main focal point of the space.

A hallway, kitchen, and living room combined

The living space has 4 main functionalities: a hallway next to the dining area, a kitchen, and a living area. You can see that an additional wall was constructed next to the sofa area to make space for an extra bedroom.

Even though this living space combines many living areas, the functionalities have been visually separated from each other in an excellent way to create different living zones.

An open-concept kitchen living room with oak cabinets in the kitchen

Oak kitchen cabinets combined with white stone countertops and a kitchen island

The beautiful dark oak kitchen cabinets stand out against the white walls of this living space and the wood veins add a contrasting warm texture to the interior design that looks elegant and sophisticated.

The kitchen design contains tall oak cabinets that have all been placed on the wall opposing the living room window. The other side of the kitchen contains lower cabinets only for a lighter look that is finished off with an elegant white shelf.

The waterfall kitchen island visually separates the kitchen from the dining area, yet it also provides a place for two bar stools so you can use it as a breakfast bar.

The white stone countertops and the waterfall countertop on the kitchen island lighten the color palette of the oak cabinets, while the stainless steel faucet adds an elegant touch to the setting.

Light gray wall cabinets and a half wall make a hallway section

Since the apartment door opens right into the main living space without an extra hallway, the owners of this apartment had to get creative. A half wall was added between the dining area and the front door to create a separation between the two areas.

Floor-to-ceiling wardrobe modules in a light grey color were added by the wall for hallway storage and an open hallway storage module was placed right next to the door. By picking out the cabinet doors in a different material from the oak cabinets in the kitchen, the two modules are visually distinct from each other.

An open-concept dining area and living space

The dining and living area has been decorated with light tones and finished off with different wood tones for a natural look.

The wall by the dining table has been finished off with a gallery wall and a small round mirror, which gives it character and elegance.

In the living room, you can find a white base palette that has been finished off with black accents on the armchair, wall lamp, and coffee table.

The same wardrobe modules as in the hallway can be found in the bedroom as well for an integrated effect. One of the bedroom walls has been completely covered in wardrobe cabinets which provide a lot of storage space.

The bedroom walls have been painted in the same color as the cabinets for a tone-on-tone effect. The beige textiles on the bed combined with the beige curtains add a warm tone to the palette and the gold hardware on the cabinets combined with the gold in the wall lamp adds a luxurious touch.

16 contrasting living rooms with dark grey walls

post

Dark grey walls can have a moody effect in a room, yet when you combine them with an exciting mix of materials and a neutral color palette they can also be an instant boost in character and personality in an interior design. A darker color usually fits best in interiors that get a lot of natural light coming in, but when you are looking to add an extra moody vibe to a room, this isn’t a must.

If you are thinking about picking out a grey paint color for your living room that is a few shades darker, make sure to take a look at the beautiful and inspiring examples below. For those of you who need some inspiration on which paint samples to try out, I have included a list of paint colors at the bottom of this post.

Dark grey walls and a light grey trim on the ceiling

This beautiful turn-of-the-century living room pairs up charcoal grey walls with a darker grey paint color on the windows and a lighter grey right below the ceiling. This combination of grey paint shades accentuates the historic window frames and adds personality. By painting the top of the wall in a light grey, it accentuates the height of the ceilings.

The grey fabric sofa combined with the white area rug and the white teddy lounge chair contrasts nicely with the dark walls, while the wood tones in the herringbone flooring and the elegant round coffee table add a lot of warmth to the palette.

Dark grey walls in a small one-bedroom apartment with white floors

While the general interior advice will tell you to pick out a lighter wall color for small spaces, a darker color can add such character and personality, which can be very beneficial when you don’t have the floor space to work in your favor.

The living room in this small apartment has dark grey walls, which are contrasted by the white-painted hardwood flooring and the white ceiling. The cream velvet sofa and the white coffee table add more lightness to the palette, while the brown leather armchair, rug, and pillow add a lot of warmth.

Grey walls combined with warm orange tones in a room filled with natural light

The warm grey walls in this turn-of-the-century living room bring out the white ceilings, crown molding, and window frames in a nice way. The base palette of the soft furnishings has been picked out in a light palette as well while tints of brown and orange add warm accents against the grey walls.

The black Flos 265 wall lamp works well against the soft grey wall color and I love the way the fresh green leaves of the small tree in front of the window pop out as the only green tone in the interior design.

The warm undertones in this stone grey wall color pair up nicely with beige tones in the curtains, textiles, and artwork in this spacious living and dining room. The white curtains, area rug, sofa, and lounge chair make the color palette of the room a lot lighter, while the black accent pieces like the shelf, side table, and picture frames add a lot of contrast to the setting.

The impressive historic features in this living room stand out so nicely against the grey room color. The grey walls are sandwiched between the ornate white ceiling and the white-painted hardwood flooring, which puts a lot of attention on the beautiful fireplace in the corner.

The grey sofa combined with the beige area rug and the black coffee table works well in this palette and the Wästberg Alma wall lamp is a real focal point against the living room walls.

The dark charcoal feature wall has such an impressive and dramatic effect in this living room. The deep grey, black sofa and the black coffee table contrast so nicely against the white walls and the white curtains, while the artwork on the wall breaks this big surface of grey.

The natural light coming through those windows is dimmed out by the sheer dark grey curtains, which adds a moody effect to this living room that is strengthened by the dark grey wall color.

The grey area adds another grey element to this interior design, which is then lightened up by the big white fabric sofa, the white paper lamp, and the white in the artwork and throw pillows.

Mid-grey walls and a white living room palette

This grey wall color is a few shades lighter as in the other examples in the list, yet this light tone does a perfect job as a darker backdrop for the white palette in the sofa area and the wood and black palette in the dining room area of the interior.

The neutral walls work so well in combination with the white fabrics in the sofa area and I love the way they are paired up with the gallery wall with monochrome prints and the spider-like formation of simple light fittings on the ceiling.

The charcoal grey walls in this light-flooded living room have slightly cool undertones that pair up so nicely with the warm wood tones in the hardwood flooring and the beige textiles on the white sofa have a calming effect in the room.

The dark grey walls make the white trim on the ceiling pop out wonderfully and I love the way the walnut String pocket shelf pairs up with this wall color. The white sofa is matched with a white coffee table, light grey area rug, and a white pouf which is a great way to balance out the darkness of the wall color.

Dark grey walls as the perfect backdrop for a white sofa

By painting the walls up to the ceiling, without a trim, you create a very modern look with clean lines. The grey walls are lightened by the white sofa and light oak hardwood flooring and I love the dark blue, black, and brown accents in the artwork and the textiles that add both warm and cool accents to the mix along with the other neutrals in the palette.

This beautiful living room with high ceilings and amazing historic elements features a dark paint color on the walls, floorboards, and the built-in bookshelf for an elegant yet dramatic effect in the space.

The accent color of the blue velvet sofa brings out subtle blue undertones in the wall paint and the different shades of pink, red, blue, yellow, and green in the living room gallery wall add visual interest to the setting.

Use Dark Grey Paint with Warm Undertones for a Cozy and Inviting Look

The warm grey wall color used in this gorgeous turn-of-the-century living room with curved walls and intricate molding underneath the ceiling has a powerful effect on the space. The dark paint color makes the historic features stand out and makes the white sofa and area rug pop.

The colorful art print above the sofa resonates well with the wall color and the warm wood TV cabinet finishes the look off perfectly.

Add Classic Elegance with Wainscoting

In this gorgeous historic living room, the same shade of dark grey paint is used on the walls as well as on the wainscoting that spreads over the entire height of the wall. The white ceiling with intricate crown molding adds a beautiful visual interest to the space and to keep things light, a white sofa, armchairs, and rug finish off the look.

A minimalist apartment design with a white and marble kitchen

post

I’m often drawn to minimalist apartment ideas, yet sometimes they can lack coziness and can often be too clean and minimal to the point of almost looking clinical. This beautiful living space shows minimalist living can have character and personality and it’s an excellent showcase of a cozy and inviting, yet minimalist vibe in an interior.

A minimalist living room with white textiles and a dark wood coffee table

The living space in this beautiful apartment contains the kitchen, dining area, and lounge area by the window. These three functionalities are all combined on a relatively small floor plan, yet by leaving enough white space around the furniture pieces, you still get the impression of a clean and open space, which is a great way of decorating a smaller apartment.

The minimal white sofa is combined with a white area rug and white lounge chair which makes for the perfect white canvas along with the white walls in this minimalist home. To add some contrast, the dark wood coffee table and the stools work perfectly in this setting.

While one of the walls has the TV, you can see that all cables have been built into the wall for a clean look. On the other side a large abstract artwork in grey tones finishes off the setting nicely.

A small dining area based upon essential items

While the dark herringbone floors have been covered almost entirely in the living room to create a lighter palette, in the dining area they are kept exposed for a darker setting.

The dark wood dining table and chairs match this palette perfectly and the small table is the perfect choice for this floor plan.

Clean lines in a white kitchen with calacatta viola marble countertops

The minimal white kitchen is built into a niche area on the other side of the window with cabinets on both sides. The clean lines of the kitchen cabinets are enhanced with beautiful calacatta viola marble on the countertops and the side of the kitchen for an eye-catching effect.

The viola marble has also been used to make custom floating shelves located in the negative space on the right side of the kitchen, perfect for displaying small deco items to make to kitchen feel cozy.

The black faucet adds a bit of contrast matching the natural veins in the marble and the off-white walls make the white cabinets and the white trim on the ceiling stand out nicely. The kitchen design matches the neutral tones in the minimalist living room, yet its high-end materials enhance the look of the apartment.

A stripped-down bedroom design with built-in storage space

The cozy minimal bedroom is the most stripped-down of all the rooms in this minimalist apartment with just a few items decorating this simple space. The bed frame and beige fabric headboard are the basis for this clean space and the design is enhanced by the beautiful black metal wall sconces, the black hardware on the built-in wardrobe, and the wood tones at the foot of the bed.

Just like in the living kitchen of this minimalist apartment, a large yet modest artwork decorates the walls of the bedroom. It’s the carefully selected items in different materials and neutral colors that set the design apart and make this apartment elegant and inviting.

A small bathroom covered in white marble

A minimal bathroom decor was the only thing missing on the minimalist apartment checklist and even though the designers had only a small space to work with, the design works perfectly.

The marble tiles in the shower combined with the marble sink and the marble on the toilet work to lift the design and the large and tall mirror helps to create depth and visually makes the space look bigger.

The marble slab on top of the toilet also functions as storage with open shelving behind it to store bathroom essentials. This is a creative solution to save space, no matter how much space you have available.

A glass wall partition separating the bedroom and home office

post

When combining different functionalities in one room, a glass wall partition is a perfect way to separate the functional areas from each other, while still ensuring natural light to flow throughout the space.

While glass partition walls are often used in small studio homes to create the impression of different rooms, they can also be used to divide a room into smaller areas which each serve a different functionality, just like in this beautiful bedroom.

A bedroom with a glass and metal glass wall partition separating the sleeping area from a home office

A contrasting black glass and metal partition wall by the bed

This beautiful bedroom has been divided into two main functional areas. The side of the bedroom by the window contains the bed and a big wardrobe, and the glass wall transforms the floor plan into a visually smaller bedroom. On the other side of the glass partition, however, you can find a home office, which is nicely separated from the rest of the room.

The light-soaped oak wood flooring combined with the sheer white curtains by the window and the white and pink bedding make for a light base palette, which has been contrasted nicely by the eye-catching black metal frame of the glass wall.

The bedroom walls have been painted in a subtle light gray color with a warm undertone, which gives the room a warm base palette that is accentuated by the peachy tones in the duvet cover and the warm area rug behind the bed.

Behind the glass: a pink home office

The other side of the glass wall partition is turned into a home office area with a spacious desk and at the same time, it functions as additional storage for the bedroom. The walls of the home office section have been painted pink, which along with the use of the glass wall, really sets this section apart and visually separates it from the other side of the room.

The bold paint color on the wall is toned down by a neutral color palette in the desk and wooden chair and the accessories and table lamp have all been picked out in a neutral color palette as well.

The mirror by the door reflects the other side of the room, yet it also reflects some of the daylight coming through the windows on the other side. Even though the glass partition ensures daylight can flow freely, this is a nice touch to make sure enough light reaches this home office spot that is placed behind the big wardrobe module.

18 Bedrooms with a greige paint color that will make you want to whip out your paintbrush

post

Greige paint colors are a perfect choice for a calm and tranquil look in the bedroom. Greige, a.k.a gray-beige is a very warm gray that can be perceived as beige depending on the warmth of the natural light coming into a room.

Greige is a neutral wall color that is neither too warm nor too cold, which makes it easy to combine with other colors in your bedroom decor. It’s a great wall color choice for a neutral look that has a little something more than just off-white walls and greige paint colors have been increasingly popular over the past few years exactly for this reason.

Have a look at the inspiring greige bedrooms in the list below and find ideas on how to combine this trendy wall color with the right accessories and soft furnishings. At the bottom of this article, you can find the best greige paint colors to try out a swatch from on your walls.

A greige wall color, white trim, and black accent wall lamp

The bedroom in this beautiful turn-of-the-century apartment in Sweden has a beautiful shade of greige on the walls, which makes the white trim, frames around the windows and the light hardwood flooring stand out in a nice way.

The wardrobe is hidden behind a beige linen curtain, which is slightly warmer than the wall color and both the rice paper pendant light and the black metal wall lamp stand out nicely against this beautiful wall color. As a finishing touch, the warm wood of the bentwood chairs and the bench behind the bed bring out the warm undertones in the paint color.

Greige paint colors on the walls and wardrobe

Both the walls and the wardrobe have been painted in a warm tone of greige in this bedroom. The white floorboards and white ceilings really stand out against this wall color and since the wardrobe doesn’t continue all the way up to the ceiling, the room looks more spacious.

The greige paint color is lightened up by the white wall lamps, white chequered bedding, wall art, and the white Eos feather lamp by Umage. The pale oak bedside tables are attached to the wall for an integrated look and they bring out the warm undertones in the wall color.

The white trim and white floorboards really stand out against this wall color and the mixture of beige and gray in the textiles on the bed work well in combination with the color on the walls.

A subtle greige paint color gives this bedroom an elegant touch

The light greige color on these bedroom walls is light and elegant and paired up with a light color palette in the textiles and light fixtures for a monotone effect that matches the small size of this space perfectly.

The stripes on the throw blanket stand out against the minimal textures in the rest of the bedroom elements and the white trim on the ceiling really stands out against the beautiful greige shade on the walls.

The red undertones in this beautiful shade of greige on the walls are brought out even more by the beige striped bedding, the beige artwork, the beige Arum floor lamp, and the rust-colored rice paper lampshade on the ceiling.

The greige paint color works wonderfully to make the turn-of-the-century details of this bedroom stand out and it highlights the beautiful molding on the ceiling.

Greige walls with yellow undertones combined with a mustard velvet headboard

The deeper shade of greige on the walls in this bedroom results in a moody effect that is enhanced by the deep color palette in the artwork, the honey-colored velvet headboard, and the black wood bench behind the bed.

The general moody vibe in this room has been lightened by the sheer white linen curtains in front of the windows, the white bedding, and the light area rug underneath the bed.

A modest greige paint color combined with whites

This bedroom has such a simple, effortless, and elegant look. The greige wall color has yellow undertones and makes the white hardwood flooring and white trim stand out in a nice way. The white also comes back in the sheer curtains, the bedding, wall lamps, and the bedside tables.

While the whites light up the palette in a nice way, the subtle beige throw blanket and the pale oak J39 chair in the corner add a bit of warmth to the palette.

A greige wall to bring out the crown molding on the ceiling

When you have such beautiful crown molding in your bedroom, you better highlight it and an easy way to do this is to select a wall color that is darker than the color of the trim just like in the case of this beautiful turn-of-the-century bedroom.

The interior of the bedroom is kept simple, with a fabric headboard, fabric pendant light, and a large area rug underneath the bed to add lots of texture to the space.

A barely there greige paint color for a subtle and elegant effect

This bedroom has been painted in a light gray wall color with a subtle beige undertone, which gives the interior a subtle yet elegant look in combination with the pale hardwood flooring.

The warmer wood tones in the bedside tables and the frame of the art print combined with the warm beige throw blanket add some extra warm tones to the mix, while the plant in the window adds a fresh green touch.

A subtle greige paint color highlights the historic features in this bedroom

The soft greige paint colors in this living room and bedroom accentuate the ornate historic detailing on the door frames and the crown molding.

The wall color pairs up nicely with the soap-washed hardwood flooring and the mixture of textiles on the bed adds a romantic touch to the interior which is enhanced by the fabric pendant dangling from those high ceilings.

A greige wall color makes the white artwork stand out

The greige wall color in this bedroom has been paired up with beiges in the fabrics and soft furnishings in this bedroom for a calming and sophisticated vibe. The white art piece by Anette Hallbäck really stands out against this wall color, while the black table lamp adds a bit of contrast.

A neutral greige wall color combined with a blue accent art piece

The greige shade in this bedroom goes more towards a light gray, yet it still has very warm undertones that are contrasted beautifully with the blue tones in the artwork next to the bed.

The gray and white textiles on the bed combined with the dark gray area rug complement the look very nicely, while a narrow white trim on the ceiling brings out the wall color even better.

Some of the best greige paint colors to try out paint samples from

Below you can find a selection of my favorite greige paint colors. They include warmer and cooler shades and lighter or darker variants.

Since greige is quite a tricky color to get right and the undertones that show will highly depend on the kind of daylight a room gets, I always recommend trying out paint swatches first and leaving them for a while so you can take a look at the paint color at different times during the day.
